Pawan Wants No Caste But Indianness Attributed To Him
Vinod, a person from Kakinada, said during the YSRC regime, the city’s municipal corporation sanctioned several works without assessing the budget and availability of funds. Now, the corporation has no funds for even fogging to curb the mosquito menace.

Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan participated in a gathering where people put forth their grievances and got them resolved through reference to officials concerned with the issue.
The Deputy CM asked police to take stringent measures against criminals and their acts. He emphasised that criminal acts must not be attributed to castes or caste leaders. He wanted police to take stringent action against all criminals without sparing any one.
Significantly, Pawan Kalyan underlined that no caste must be attributed to him. He maintained that he wants to live as an Indian and change the existing system to ensure a good future for the youth.
In this regard, Kapu Sangham adviser D.N. Ramesh observed that if Pawan Kalyan feels shy about his caste, he (Pawan) need not mention Kapus from now onwards. Ramesh went on to say that the Deputy Chief Minister must also not seek votes from the Kapu castes in the future. “Kapu Sangham would secure its rights from the government in its own way without the support of Pawan Kalyan,” the adviser stated.
At the meeting, a woman named Bhavani informed Pawan Kalyan that she had given ₹2 lakh to a construction company for her house. But the company has cheated her, as neither did it return the money to her nor allot her a house. The Deputy CM asked superintendent of police G. Bindu Madhav to sort out the problem. The SP has deputed police officials to deal with the matter.

Kakinada district collector M.N. Haredhira Prasad clarified that the government has sanctioned ₹105 crore for Kakinada Smart City and municipal works would be taken up with these funds.
A girl Bhavya mentioned that flexes are a menace in the city. Kakinada Municipal Corporation officials said they are promptly taking up removal of flexes.
A person named Goush said at several places, vagabonds have been occupying the bus shelters, causing inconvenience to passengers. One Town police took details from Goush and immediately removed the persons who had encroached on the bus shelter.
Reddy Sindhuja of Kakinada Rural mandal alleged that a person took her car on hire. But he neither paid the rent nor returned the car. The police responded and handed over the car to family members of Sindhuja.
