AP Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan will visit the Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Kondagattu of Telangana state on Saturday

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan will visit the Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Kondagattu of Telangana state on Saturday to set foundation stones for major pilgrim infrastructure works funded by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
The works, estimated at `35.19 crore, include the construction of a Deeksha Viramana Mandapam, designed to accommodate around 2,000 devotees at a time and ease congestion during peak pilgrimage periods and a 96-room satram (pilgrim rest house). The foundation-laying ceremony is scheduled between 10.30 am and 11.30 am.
During an earlier visit to the shrine after his electoral victory in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan interacted with temple authorities and priests, who highlighted the lack of space for concluding vows and resting.
Subsequently, the Deputy Chief Minister took up the matter with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and held discussions with TTD chairman B.R. Naidu. The TTD board later approved the funds for the project.
After the ceremony, Pawan will meet Jana Sena leaders and cadres from Telangana and interact with candidates who won the recent Telangana panchayat elections with the party support.
