Pawan Lauds 23 ISO-Certified Village Panchayats

He congratulated officials and field-level staff of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department for their efforts in securing the recognition.

VIJAYAWADA: Deputy Chief Minister and panchayat raj and rural development minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday congratulated 23 village panchayats in Andhra Pradesh for securing ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification, describing the achievement as a milestone in the Coalition government's efforts to strengthen grassroots governance.

In a post on X, Pawan Kalyan said the certification reflected the government's commitment to building transparent, accountable and people-centric governance in rural areas. He congratulated officials and field-level staff of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department for their efforts in securing the recognition.

He said the certification was awarded based on the implementation of citizen charters, efficient grievance redressal, safe drinking water facilities, disabled-friendly infrastructure, display of information boards, digitisation of records, scientific document management, office cleanliness, asset management, fire safety measures, internal audits, continuous staff training and periodic reviews.

Pawan Kalyan said the recognition was not merely an award but a globally accepted benchmark for quality governance. He expressed confidence that it would inspire the state's more than 13,000 village panchayats to improve governance standards and said the Coalition government was committed to making Andhra Pradesh a national model in rural development and good governance.
