Pawan Kalyan Takes Exception on AP BJP
Pawan Kalyan said that for the past 12 years he had faced many setbacks and a lot of humiliation. “My patience is not a reflection of my inefficiency, but I would no longer tolerate such nonsense in future, and would hit back harder.”

Kakinada:Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has expressed his displeasure over the lukewarm response from state BJP leaders to a remark by a political analyst that “Jana Sena leaders met Union home minister Amit Shah to recommend the arrest of former chief minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.”
The sensational observation was made by media analyst Prof. Nageswar, who also said Shah advised the JS against targeting Jagan Mohan Reddy and that the BJP’s alliance with the TD was “temporary”.
“It is a pity that except for one or two BJP leaders, the remaining leaders kept silent on the remarks,” Pawan Kalyan said, while refuting the claim.
Comparing Amith Shah to Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, Pawan Kalyan said, “Amith Shah is a great leader who, working behind the screen, brought the BJP to power in 18 states and opened a strong counter to the established parties in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.”
The JS chief was speaking at a meeting of the parliamentary constituency level party workers at Rajamahendravaram on Monday.
Pawan Kalyan said when Amith Sha’s stature was targeted (by the analyst), the BJP leaders did not react to it the way they should have. This was surprising, he said.
Referring to the victory of Tamil superstar Vijay in the Assembly polls and his installation there as the chief minister within months after he floated his TVK party, Pawan Kalyan said Vijay achieved this through an intense campaign using hoardings, flexes and banners.
“If an issue arises, all the people in Tamil Nadu would come under one umbrella, but the circumstances in Andhra Pradesh are different,” Pawan Kalyan said, in an obvious reference to his own lack of a similar mass base in AP.
He said that though he had worked hard for the past 12 years, he could not become the CM due to the political circumstances prevailing in AP. Pawan Kalyan claimed that he had gone into an alliance not for helping the Telugu Desam, but to fulfil the aspirations of the 5 crore people of AP.
Pawan Kalyan said that for the past 12 years he had faced many setbacks and a lot of humiliation. “My patience is not a reflection of my inefficiency, but I would no longer tolerate such nonsense in future, and would hit back harder.”
Pawan Kalyan also said that he would not tolerate criticism against one another among the JS leaders. “Leaders and cadres of the party should not cross the line of the party and question my line. Rather, when I take a decision, others in the party should act accordingly.”
The JS chief said party committees would be formed to identify and recognise the merits of the party workers and the deserving workers would be taken into the party committees. This process would be completed by August 14. He also called upon the leaders and cadres to strongly counter the criticisms against the party.
Pawan Kalyan announced that the entire leadership of the Jana Sena in Prakasam district would be suspended.
Civil supplies minister Nadendla Manohar, tourism minister Kandula Durgesh, Kakinada Rural MLA Pantham Nanaji, Rajanagaram MLA Bathula Bala Ramakrishna and others were present.
