Pawan Kalyan Slams Pseudo-Secularists, Questions Claims About Terror Attack Victims in Pahalgam

The Jana Sena Party paid tributes to the victims of the Pahalgam attack and announced a financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh to the family of Madhusudhan.

Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has condemned statements favouring Pakistan following the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack that took place on religious grounds.

Speaking at a tribute event for victims of the attack, organised at the convention hall in Mangalagiri on Tuesday, Pawan said, “Pseudo-secularists who wish to support Pakistan should consider relocating to Pakistan.”

“It is not right to speak in favour of Pakistan when 26 people were killed by its agents on religious grounds. If you want to speak like that, you should go to Pakistan. Everyone should respond vehemently against terrorism and violence. Kashmir is a part of India and such matters should not be talked about for votes and seats. It takes a lot of courage to speak the truth,” he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister announced a financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh to the family of Madhusudhan Rao of Kavali, Nellore district, who was killed in the Pahalagam terror attack. Pawan expressed his grief, saying the Jana Sena lost its activist, Madhusudhan Rao, in the terrorist attack.

Pawan recalled what Madhu's wife said -- that the terrorists shot and killed him after ascertaining his identity. “This is the only country for Hindus. If we cannot stay here peacefully, where else can we go?”

He said, “We should be ready for war if a situation arose, and we should be vigilant against those who create communal conflicts. The tremors that happened in Kashmir affected us and the duties for our soldiers at the border control have become more difficult.”

The Deputy CM urged the Centre that strict action be taken to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future. “Everyone should support the government in ending the scourge of terrorism. Tolerance has increased in the country, but too much tolerance is not good.”

“There should be surveillance on the movements of unfamiliar faces around us. Decisions should be taken now. How can so many people be coming here if Muslims are discriminated against? Refugees are an additional burden on the country,” Pawan added.
