Pawan Kalyan Slams Previous Govt Over Panchayat Funds, Vows Rural Development

Pawan recalled his earlier visits to villages and reiterated the government’s commitment to their progress.

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan criticized the previous government for allegedly misusing village panchayat funds. Speaking at an event organized at the C.K. Convention Center in Mangalagiri on the occasion of National Panchayat Raj Day, he expressed gratitude to contractors who completed projects despite pending payments.

Addressing the gathering, Pawan Kalyan said, “Though I willingly took up the Panchayat Raj department, our goal is to make villages self-reliant and autonomous. I have always loved staying in villages, though circumstances did not allow it. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our officials, rapid development is now taking place in rural areas.”
He recalled his earlier visits to villages and reiterated the government’s commitment to their progress. “Even small efforts will not go in vain,” he added.

During the event, condolences were also expressed to those who lost their lives in the recent terror attack in Pahalgam.
