Pawan Kalyan Orders Probe Into KGH Stillbirth Allegation
He said he would personally hear their grievances and ensure appropriate action against those found responsible

VISAKHAPATNAM: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has ordered an immediate inquiry into allegations of medical negligence at King George Hospital (KGH) after a woman claimed that her child was stillborn due to lapses by hospital staff.
The complainant, Patnala Umadevi, approached the Deputy CM at Visakhapatnam airport and alleged that doctors and staff at KGH acted negligently when she was admitted for delivery in early December. She said that despite her pregnancy being overdue, hospital staff insisted on a normal delivery and ignored repeated warnings from family members about her deteriorating condition.
Umadevi alleged that the decision to perform a Caesarean section was delayed, resulting in the stillbirth. She also claimed that hospital staff used harsh language with her family and treated them in an inhumane manner, causing her severe physical and emotional trauma.
Taking cognisance of the complaint, Pawan Kalyan directed officials to bring the affected family to the State Secretariat on Monday. He said he would personally hear their grievances and ensure appropriate action against those found responsible.
