Strict Regulations and Improved Management Practices in Cinema Halls
He assured that the government remains committed to supporting the Telugu film sector while ensuring accountability and fairness.

Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has called for strict regulations and improved management practices in cinema halls across the state.
He emphasized the need for quality and fair pricing of food and beverages in theatres and close monitoring to enhance the cinematic experience for audiences.
"We must ensure that the operation of cinema halls is systematic and professional," stated Pawan Kalyan, stressing that any increase in ticket prices, whether it be for his own films or others, should be conveyed through the Telugu film chamber of commerce, rather than through individual approaches and the state's cinematography department will be coordinating these efforts continuously.
He stressed that the government must create a conducive environment for the film industry, avoiding intimidatory practices that could jeopardise business operations.
Pawan Kalyan held a meeting with the officials here on Tuesday and said the motivations behind the ongoing cinema hall closures must be investigated, particularly in light of recent announcements of shutdowns in East Godavari district. Actions be taken to address the inadequacies in management where necessary, ensuring that no individual or group evades responsibility for the situation, specifically pointing to the presence of Jana Sena supporters in the mix.
Discussion also centered on the rising prices of snacks and beverages, like popcorn and cold drinks in cinema halls, which often discourage families from attending movies together. Pawan Kalyan called for relevant authorities to consistently monitor the quality standards and pricing to facilitate a more family-friendly atmosphere.
He suggested that lowering these prices could increase the footfall in theatres, yielding higher tax revenues for the state.
The deputy CM highlighted the importance of ensuring basic amenities such as safe drinking water and hygiene in cinema halls, the maintenance of which should be the responsibility of theatre owners. Local governing bodies should enforce these standards diligently.
