Pawan Hails Governor’s Address, Slams YSRC

Deputy CM praises S. Abdul Nazeer's speech, targets previous regime

Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, participating in the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s Address in AP Legislative Assembly on Friday, described Justice S. Abdul Nazeer’s speech as “deeply inspiring”, saying it lays a strong foundation for the good future of Andhra Pradesh. “The Governor’s speech reflects the coalition government’s commitment to welfare and development. It charts a clear roadmap for rebuilding the state after years of misgovernance,” the Deputy CM maintained. Taking a swipe at the previous YSR Congress regime, he alleged that the previous government failed to clear RS 1,674 crore in paddy dues to farmers. “Our NDA government will stand firmly with farmers. Tenant farmers need not fear — the government is working for you,” he declared. Pawan Kalyan pointed out that 10,000 employees have been granted promotions simultaneously without any recommendations, underscoring transparency in governance. He maintained that the coalition government has taken up construction of 1,069 km of roads, with approvals for some projects granted within hours. The Deputy Chief Minister accused the previous government of diverting funds under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Further, of Rs 27,000 crore allocated, nearly Rs 23,000 crore had remained unutilised, resulting in funds getting lapsed. The present dispensation is committed to providing safe drinking water to every household, Pawan Kalyan underlined.
