Parvathipuram SP Clears Sandhya Rani PA Son Over Fake SMS, Arrests Accusers

Madhav Reddy underlined that a forensic investigation had revealed that the allegations against the minister’s PA and son are a deliberate fabrication. "Triveni and her friend, Bhanu Prasad together created fake SMS messages, as per the forensic investigation.

Visakhapatnam: Parvathipuram Manyam district superintendent of police Madhav Reddy on Tuesday described allegations of sexual harassment and extortion against the personal assistant as well as son of Tribal Welfare minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani as “completely baseless."

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, the SP announced the arrest of two individuals: A1 Bhanu Prasad, a junior assistant at the Salur municipal office, and A2 Bola Triveni, an office subordinate at the MPDO office, who complained against the minister’s PA and son. Both Bhanu Prasad and Triveni have been charged under sections related to conspiracy, extortion, defamation, and IT Act violations.

Madhav Reddy underlined that a forensic investigation had revealed that the allegations against the minister’s PA and son are a deliberate fabrication. "Triveni and her friend, Bhanu Prasad together created fake SMS messages, as per the forensic investigation. There is no truth in the allegations made by Triveni that they sent her obscene messages on WhatsApp," the SP emphasised.

The controversy over the minister’s PA and son began on November 27 when Triveni, a widow working as a clerk in the Education department, filed a complaint at the Salur Police Station against B. Satish, the minister’s PA. She accused him of sexual harassment, extortion and cheating.

According to Triveni’s complaint, her husband, also an education department employee, died from Covid-19 in 2021. While seeking employment under compassionate grounds, she alleged that Satish approached her demanding ₹5 lakh, claiming the money is needed to expedite her job approval through official channels.

Triveni stated she paid the amount and secured a clerk’s position in December 2021. However, she later claimed Satish never paid officials as promised. When she confronted him about returning the money, she alleged he responded with harassment, including inappropriate behaviour and abusive language. The associates of Satish also visited her home to intimidate her.

Triveni claimed that Satish arrived at her home intoxicated late one night, making inappropriate demands. Triveni charged that when she approached the minister for help, she was allegedly abused in front of 30 people and threatened with termination from work.

Madhav Reddy reiterated that their investigation revealed that there is no truth in these allegations. Triveni and her accomplice Bhanu Prasad have been arrested and sent to judicial remand.
