Pawan Kalyan Orders Action Over Poor Quality CC Roads in Peddapenki Village
According to officials, villagers had complained about cracks that developed on newly laid cement concrete (CC) roads in Peddapenki village. Following the complaints, the State Chief Quality Control Officer was deputed to inspect the works.
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed serious concern over the poor quality of development works carried out by a contractor at Peddapenki village in Parvathipuram Manyam district.
He directed the Parvathipuram Manyam District Collector to immediately withhold the contractor's pending bills and initiate strict action for failing to maintain quality standards.
According to officials, villagers had complained about cracks that developed on newly laid cement concrete (CC) roads in Peddapenki village. Following the complaints, the State Chief Quality Control Officer was deputed to inspect the works in the area.
During the inspection, officials found quality defects in the construction of five CC roads.
Pawan Kalyan later held a review meeting with the District Collector and other officials to assess the situation. He said that strict action would be taken against contractors and officials who fail to maintain quality standards in development works.
He asserted that no compromise would be made on the quality of public infrastructure and warned that negligence in executing development projects would not be tolerated.
