Macherla: A major fire broke out at Rama Talkies Theatre in Macherla town of Palnadu district during the early hours of Monday, causing extensive damage to the premises.
According to reports, the fire erupted around midnight and quickly spread through the theatre. On receiving information, fire and emergency services personnel rushed to the spot and launched firefighting operations.
The firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
The theatre management stated that the fire caused property damage estimated at around ₹70 lakh. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, and an investigation is underway.
