Palla Hails Lokesh for Reviving Visakha Vimala Vidyalayam
Srinivasa Rao said the decision has further protected the livelihoods of teaching staff and restored confidence within the families living in the steel plant premises

Visakhapatnam: The revival of Visakha Vimala Vidyalayam has brought relief to hundreds of families associated with Ukkunagaram in the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) area. Telugu Desam state president and Gajuwaka MLA Palla Srinivasa Rao has credited education minister Nara Lokesh for revival of the institution.
Srinivasa Rao explained that it is Lokesh's intervention that has addressed concerns over the future of the school, which has been serving children of VSP employees for more than four decades. There had been uncertainty over continuation of the Visakha Vimala Vidyalayam owing to financial challenges within the steel plant ecosystem. Its possible closure had led to concerns among parents, teachers, and students. “At this critical juncture,” the TD state president said, “Lokesh stepped in with the conviction that children of workers must not suffer due to circumstances they did not create.
The minister ensured intervention of the state government, resulting in continued functioning of the Visakha Vimala Vidyalayam as a government institution, thereby helping hundreds of students.” Srinivasa Rao said the decision has further protected the livelihoods of teaching staff and restored confidence within the families living in the steel plant premises.
He expressed gratitude to Lokesh as well as Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for safeguarding the institution.
