Over 70 Lakh Pattadar Passbooks To Be Distributed By March 2027: AP CM

AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said that nearly 73 lakh pattadar passbooks (land documents) will be distributed by March 2027.

Nandyal: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said that nearly 73 lakh pattadar passbooks (land documents) will be distributed by March 2027. Addressing a public meeting at Banaganepalle village in Nandyala district, Naidu alleged that the previous YSRCP government had included the land of the people it disliked in the 22-A list (government lands list) to "create disputes and grab land."

The previous government had included nearly 2,100 acres of land belonging to the Waqf board in this list, he claimed. The ruling government has removed lands included under 22-A to help farmers, he said. "By March 2027, 72.7 lakh pattadar passbooks have to be distributed. The target of the coalition government is to make Andhra Pradesh free of land disputes," Naidu said.
He alleged that the previous government had brought forth a "black law called the Land Titling Act to grab people's land and create fear," and said that the coalition government had rescinded it on coming to power.
Further, the CM highlighted that Rayalaseema is being transformed by industries such as Kadapa Steel Plant, Hero MotoCorp, the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) project and others.
According to the CM, Rayalaseema region will emerge as a horticulture hub with Rs 40,000 crore public investment and Rs 60,000 crore private investment. He observed that Lingala village in this region has the highest per capital income than major cities and towns. Due to the El NiƱo effect, the CM said sparse rainfall has occurred in this monsoon season, logging 22 per cent lower rainfall.
In YouTuber Bachalakuri Joseph's case, Naidu alleged that the former had uploaded abusive posts on deities Ram and Sita and supported terrorism and Pakistan. Joseph, who identifies himself as 'Prashna Raavan', was recently arrested under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) for an alleged provocative video he had uploaded seven months ago. Naidu claimed that YSRCP had extended financial help to Joseph, and accused the opposition party of plotting to create rifts under caste, religion, and region. "I don't know what to say about people encouraging Raavan, but chanting Hey Ram," Naidu said, alluding to YSRCP supremo YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and accused the former CM of offering prayers at his father's grave for votes.
