Our Good Work Must Reach People, Says Lokesh
The minister said every worker must act with discipline and collective responsibility with the sole aim of strengthening the party.

Vijayawada:Calling on party leaders and workers to act as the government’s effective communicators, Telugu Desam general secretary and minister Nara Lokesh on Friday urged them to reach every positive step of the government directly to the people.
Addressing leaders attending the 11th batch cadre-training organised for town, ward and mandal-level presidents and general secretaries of the Telugu Desam in Mangalagiri, the minister stressed the need for coordination, patience and unity while countering the opposition’s false propaganda.
The minister said every worker must act with discipline and collective responsibility with the sole aim of strengthening the party. “You cannot compromise with the party’s ideology,” he stressed.
Lokesh admitted that despite implementing several welfare schemes and development programmes between 2014 and 2019, the party had failed to effectively communicate these to the public, which caused its defeat. “This time, leaders and cadres must personally explain every good initiative of the government through door-to-door campaigns,” he said.
Recalling the 2019 elections, Lokesh noted that while the party focused mainly on development, the YSRC wrested power through a “spread of misinformation.”
He asserted that henceforth, development must go hand in hand with a strong rebuttal of malicious campaigns.
Emphasizing unity among alliance partners, Lokesh said harmony within the three-party alliance was crucial and asserted that attempts to create divisions among the partners would not succeed.
He appealed to leaders at the grassroots level to work together and assured them that the party would recognise everyone’s efforts. Describing the party as a family, he said internal issues could be resolved through dialogue.
Taking a sharp dig at the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party, Lokesh alleged that the previous government had damaged the sanctity of the TTD and the party continued to mislead the people with false narratives. He urged TD activists to counter misinformation with facts and ensure the truth reached the public.
Lokesh also asked party workers to upload details of their service and struggles through the My TDP app and make its installation mandatory on their mobile phones. “Our training programmes would play a key role in further strengthening the party,” he observed.
