Online Gaming Addict Ends Life on Rail Tracks
Jayachandra’s death sparks awareness on gaming addiction and loan burden.

Anantapur: An online gaming addict died by suicide by falling under a train near Hindupur in Satya Sai district on Sunday, as he was not able to repay the loans he had taken. He left behind a note on the shirt he was wearing, which read, “Don't play online games”.
Sources said Jayachandra, 21, of Pydeti village in Parigi mandal, after completion of graduation, joined in a private company at Hindupur. However, he became addicted to online games and incurred losses. He took loans from private moneylending apps and friends to the tune of Rs 7 lakh. Unable to repay the loans, Jayachandra took the extreme step. The Hindupur railway police registered a case and shifted the body to Hindupur area hospital for post-mortem.
Five held for constable’s murder
Kurnool: Sirivella police arrested five persons in connection with the murder of a constable in Nandyal district. Circle inspector Dastagiri Babu told the reporters that the arrested have been sent to judicial remand.
The victim, Munna Farooq of Nandyal, was working as a constable in the AP Special Police at Mangalagiri. According to police, Farooq had a personal dispute with a man named Sk Shabbir Basha over a girl. Shabbir, along with four accomplices, allegedly murdered Farooq and dumped his body in the Nallamala forest near Giddaluru.
The CI said that following an investigation, police arrested Shabbir and the four other accused. The investigation was led by SI Chinna Peeraiah.
