Officials Inspect Unsafe School Building After Villagers’ Protest

Vishakhapatnam: Education department officials inspected the Komira Primary School building in Anakapalle district on Tuesday following a protest by parents and villagers demanding immediate measures to ensure safe classrooms for students.
Parents and children of Komira village staged a demonstration on Monday after the existing school building was declared unsafe. With some classes being conducted in a nearby temple, villagers sought the allocation of CSR funds to construct a temporary shed until a permanent solution is provided.
Responding to the concerns, mandal education officer M. Lingamurthy visited the school and interacted with parents.
He assured them that a detailed inspection of the building would be carried out and a report submitted to higher authorities for further action.
Parents urged officials to expedite the process, stating that students were facing difficulties due to the lack of adequate classroom facilities and the unsafe condition of the existing structure.
