NTR Sports Complex in Tirupati to Open on April 15
Providing new facilities for young athletes
TIRUPATI: The NTR Sports Complex at Gollavanigunta in Tirupati is nearing completion and is set to be inaugurated on April 15, providing new facilities for young athletes.
Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), chairman A. Ravi Naidu, on Friday reviewed the progress of works during a site visit. He interacted with officials and assessed the arrangements being made at the complex.
Speaking to reporters, he said the facility would be ready for use soon after its inauguration and would serve as a platform for aspiring sportspersons in Tirupati.
The complex includes facilities for cricket, kho-kho, kabaddi, volleyball and ball badminton. Officials have been directed to complete the remaining works before the launch.
Naidu said the new facility would help nurture young talent and strengthen sports activity in the region.
