NTR Health University To Begin NEET-UG Counselling on Aug. 4

VIJAYAWADA: Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) has announced the schedule for NEET-UG 2026 counselling, with the first round set to commence on August 4.

According to the schedule, the first round of counselling for the All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities and Central Universities will be held from August 4 to 17. Verification of joined candidates by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will take place on August 23.
State counselling will be conducted from August 13 to 22, followed by verification of admitted candidates by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME) and state counselling authorities. The last date for joining under the first round is August 22.
The second round of AIQ, Deemed and Central Universities counselling will be held from August 24 to September 2, while state counselling is scheduled from August 31 to September 8. The last date for joining is September 8.
The third round of AIQ, Deemed and Central Universities counselling will be conducted from September 10 to 18, with state counselling scheduled from September 16 to 26. The last date for joining is September 26.
Counselling for stray vacancies will be held from September 28 to October 3 for AIQ seats, while the state stray vacancy round is scheduled from October 3 to 5. The final date for admissions is October 10.
The university said the academic session for undergraduate medical courses will commence on September 8.
NTRUHS directed all participating medical colleges and institutions to treat Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays as working days to ensure completion of the counselling process within the stipulated timeframe.
