Normal Life Returns as Mori-5 Blowout Eases

Kakinada: The blowout at the Mori-5 well near Irusumanda village in Malkipuram mandal of Dr B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district has been contained to a large extent, with normal life resuming in the surrounding villages on Thursday.
Officials of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) and rescue teams, led by Rajamahendravaram Asset Manager Santanu Das and Executive Director Vikram Saxena, were able to clear debris up to the blowout point as the intensity of the flames and heat subsided.
