No Fresh Case of Reaction to Chloroquine at Golaguppa Village: Collector
Based on their health progress, they would be discharged from the hospital soon, the collector said.

Vijayawada:Polavaram district collector Dinesh Kumar has said no fresh case of sickness due to reaction from antimalaria drug chloroquine has been reported at Golaguppa village of Yetapaka mandal in Polavaram district by Wednesday night.
In a statement, the collector said that medical teams were continuously monitoring the situation and a case study on health of every person in the village would be done and an individual health record would be generated where the health history, previous health issues and present symptoms of health issues would be recorded.
Of the 52 persons admitted in the area hospital at Badrachalam, 24 reached their home in two ambulances while eight more were undergoing medical treatment. They would be discharged on Thursday. Some 16 persons would be sent back to the village in ambulances.
Meanwhile, 13 persons including nine children tested malaria positive and they are taking medical treatment in the hospital. Based on their health progress, they would be discharged from the hospital soon, the collector said.
Moreover, an amount of Rs 30,000 was given to the family members of the deceased seven-year-old girl as an immediate financial assistance, the collector said and promised all support to the bereaved family members.
