The Kadapa district administration denied reports that a 75-year-old from Chagalamarri from Nandyal district and another woman from Kadapa were admitted as Covid positive patients at the RIMS hospital there. While a 75 year old woman from Chagalamarri in Nandyal district was brought to RIMS hospital with lung related complaints, she was being treated at vacant covid ward along with another woman from Kadapa area, it was explained.
Kadapa district health officer Dr Nagaraju told Deccan Chronicle that no Covid positive cases were reported at RIMS hospital in Kadapa.
“The old woman with severe lung infection was referred to RIMS from Chagalamarri in Nandyal district for better medical aid and after testing she was of Covid negative,” he said.
