Nimmala Takes To Farming During Festive Break

Minister joins rabi farming, stressing leaders must understand farmers’ hardships

KAKINADA: Taking a brief break on the eve of Christmas, State Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu spent time working in his agricultural fields at his native Agarthipalem village on Wednesday.

Despite his busy schedule with departmental and party responsibilities, the Minister personally took part in rabi season farming activities. He tilled the land using a tractor and also built field bunds along with local workers.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramanaidu said he has always been fond of agriculture and makes it a point to engage in farming whenever time permits. He observed that leaders and officials who personally participate in agricultural activities would better understand the hardships faced by farmers.
