New Year: Pawan's Stress On Timely Implementation Of Programmes

The deputy CM extended his best wishes to all officers and their families

Vijayawada: Extending warm New Year greetings to all as the state steps into 2026, Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday showered praise on the state’s administrative machinery and stressed timely implementation of government programmes.

In a New Year message addressed to senior officials, he described civil service as the backbone of governance and its officials the true drivers of change.
The Deputy CM acknowledged the personal sacrifices made by officers who have come from different states and regions to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh. Leaving behind their homes and families, he said, they had committed themselves to public service with dedication and integrity.
“Policies are framed in the assembly, but they take life through your hands,” Kalyan said, underlining the pivotal role played by the bureaucracy in translating political vision into tangible outcomes. While elected representatives set the direction, it is the efficiency, honesty and commitment of officers in the field that ultimately determine whether governance reaches the poorest citizen, he observed.
Describing the revival and progress of Andhra Pradesh as a shared dream, he said a significant responsibility rested on the shoulders of the administrative machinery. Effective governance, timely implementation of programmes and sensitivity to people’s needs, he noted, would be key to restoring public trust and accelerating development.
Outlining his expectations for the year ahead, Kalyan called for a bureaucracy that works “with more heart and more speed.” He urged officers to function with renewed vigour and a sense of purpose, aligning their efforts with the broader national vision of building a Viksit Bharat by first ensuring a Viksit Andhra Pradesh.
The deputy CM extended his best wishes to all officers and their families, expressing confidence that 2026 would mark a year of stronger cooperation between the political leadership and the administrative system in the service of the people.
