New Tirumala Pilgrim Complex To House 2,500 Devotees
Constructed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the complex will help address the pressure on existing facilities in the temple town, where nearly one lakh devotees arrive daily but accommodation is available for only about 45,000.

Tirupati: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the newly constructed Pilgrim Amenities Complex–5 (PAC–5) at Tirumala during the upcoming Brahmotsavams, scheduled to begin on September 24. The facility is intended to ease the accommodation shortage faced by devotees visiting the hill shrine.
Constructed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the complex will help address the pressure on existing facilities in the temple town, where nearly one lakh devotees arrive daily but accommodation is available for only about 45,000.
TTD chairman B.R. Naidu, along with Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, inspected PAC–5 on Saturday. They reviewed the dormitories, Kalyana Katta, restrooms, and Annaprasadam distribution centres, directing officials to ensure smooth arrangements without inconvenience to pilgrims.
Speaking to the media, the Chairman appreciated the engineering wing for completing the project systematically. He recalled that the proposal was first approved by the TTD Board in 2018 during the previous Telugu Desam Party government. He said the facility would be a valuable addition to Tirumala’s pilgrim infrastructure.
“Accommodation scarcity has been a persistent challenge in Tirumala. This new complex will help ease the problem and provide pilgrims with comfortable facilities. I urge devotees to make the best use of it,” he said.
PAC–5 is located near the APSRTC bus stand in Tirumala, alongside PACs 1, 2, and 3. According to Additional EO Venkaiah Chowdary, the building has been designed to house 2,500 pilgrims, with provision to accommodate 1,000 more during peak periods. Modern amenities include a First Aid Centre, milk-feeding rooms for mothers with infants, and spacious rest halls. The Annaprasadam hall has the capacity to serve meals to 1,400 pilgrims at a time.
Chowdary said special attention had been given to hygiene, safety, and accessibility. “All arrangements have been made with the comfort of pilgrims in mind. The new complex will stand as a model of modern facilities at Tirumala,” he said. The Additional EO expressed confidence that the new complex will significantly reduce pressure on existing facilities and enhance the overall spiritual experience for visiting devotees.
