New Semiconductor Projects to Accelerate Growth in AP

Yamini Sharma highlighted that alongside six projects previously approved nationwide, this latest addition brings the total to ten projects that are progressing at record speed.

Vijayawada: BJP National Council Member Sadineni Yamini Sharma said that the Central Government has allocated a significant boost to Andhra Pradesh with the approval of four new semiconductor projects, valued at ₹4,594 crores. She hailed that this development is set to transform the state's position in the semiconductor industry.

Yamini Sharma highlighted that alongside six projects previously approved nationwide, this latest addition brings the total to ten projects that are progressing at record speed. She claimed that these initiatives not only promise substantial investments but also emphasize self-reliance in technology.
“The state is poised to become a hub for manufacturing chips that power smartphones, defense systems, electric vehicles, and artificial intelligence technologies. This move is expected to create numerous job opportunities and foster economic growth, solidifying Andhra Pradesh's status as a reliable center for future global technologies,” Yamini Sharma added.
