Vijayawada:AP government has greenlit a comprehensive plan for turning Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences futuristic.
The proposals, finalised after the university vice chancellor Dr. P. Chandrasekhar and registrar Dr. V. Radhika Reddy met Health, Medical and Family Welfare minister P. Satya Kumar Yadav, include a new campus, staffing improvements, and restructuring its administration.
Accordingly, the new campus will be located in Amaravati over a 40-acre complex. The campus will include a medical college and hospital with all the necessary facilities for educating students as well as treating patients by providing them the latest medical care.
Further, the meeting between the Health minister and health university authorities addressed two organisational challenges.
Satya Kumar accepted the university's proposal to fill the numerous posts which have been vacant over several years. Additionally, he approved a proposal for reconstituting the executive council of the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.
