Three persons of the same family died under suspicious circumstances at Duvvuru in Sangam mandal, Nellore district.
Police said that retired teacher Madhusudan Rao, 65, his wife Ratnavali, 60, and their son Sai Sukrut, 25, hanged themselves to death in their house.
However, police expressed suspicion over the deaths as their hands were tied. A suicide letter was recovered from the crime scene.
Police registered a case and began investigation.
