Nellore Hosts Chaganti at Values Education Conference for Students
SCERT director Krishna Reddy lauded Chaganti’s lifelong dedication to free public discourses and his deep knowledge of Indian scriptures.

Nellore: Government adviser (Students, Ethics and Values) Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao, a noted spiritual orator, addressed students at the Values Education Conference that the School Education department organised at the Kasturba Kalakshetram in Nellore on Thursday.
Chaganti Koteswara Rao underlined at the packed hall of students, teachers and parents that family is the first school of values. Children must learn from parents respect, discipline and empathy at home before expecting these from the society.
The government adviser asked students to interact respectfully with parents, siblings and teachers, reminding them that “those who respect their family will naturally respect society.”
He cautioned against belittling or mocking others, saying such habits damage one’s character. “Education without values is of little use,” he said, emphasising that after parents, teachers are the ones who care most for children.
Referring to the lives of A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Sir M. Visvesvaraya and Madame Curie, he encouraged students to explore subjects beyond textbooks by reading biographies of great personalities.
Self-confidence, time management and planned study habits, he said, are essential for overcoming stress. Cleanliness, exercise, hobbies like music, sports, painting and devotional singing should be part of students’ daily routine. He advised discipline in mobile phone usage, warning that its excessive use will bring harm.
District collector Himanshu Shukla, who participated in the event, praised Chaganti’s guidance as “a pathway for young minds,” noting that the government appointed Chaganti as adviser to help strengthen value-based education.
SCERT director Krishna Reddy lauded Chaganti’s lifelong dedication to free public discourses and his deep knowledge of Indian scriptures.
The 45-minute session concluded with Chaganti answering students’ questions on stress, discipline and personal growth. The event ended with a felicitation programme by education department officials.
