Nellore: 56 Motorcycles, 6 Autos Seized In Kaligiri Police Search Operation

NELLORE: Kaligiri police conducted a cordon and search operation in the Kaligiri Bus Stand Centre area on Friday, inspecting around 120 houses and checking 62 vehicles. During the exercise, 56 motorcycles and six auto-rickshaws were seized for not having proper documentation.
The operation was conducted between 5.30 am and 7.30 am under the directions of SPSR Nellore District SP Dr Ajitha Vejendla. It was led by the Kaligiri circle inspector and involved the SIs of Vinjamur, Jaladanki and V.K. Padu, along with 35 police personnel.
Following the searches, police organised an awareness programme on cybercrime prevention, women and child safety, prevention of property offences and road safety regulations.
Residents were also informed about emergency and support services, including Dial-112, the Eagle toll-free number 1972, Cyber Helpline 1930, the Police Control Room number and the Shakti App.
The SP said public cooperation was essential for effective crime prevention and maintaining law and order. She added that similar cordon and search operations would continue across the district as part of efforts to strengthen policing and public safety.
