NDRF Rescues Two People in Separate Incidents in East Godavari

East Godavari: A 35-year-old man stranded amid strong flood currents near the Thadipudi Lift Canal in East Godavari district was rescued by an NDRF team during Cyclone Murasu relief operations.
In another incident in the district, a woman who was swept away by strong currents in a canal managed to save her life by holding on to a tree branch in Gopalapuram mandal on Thursday night.
According to reports, Vijay Kumar was travelling on a motorcycle with his niece towards Devarapalli when they were swept away by strong currents in the Kovvada canal on the Annadevarapeta–Chityala road.
