Navaratri Brahmotsavams: TTD Cancels VIP, Privileged Darshans

These Brahmotsavams will be held from October 12 to October 20: Reports

TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has cancelled VIP break and privileged darshans from October 11 to October 20 in view of the expected heavy pilgrim rush during the Srivari Navaratri Brahmotsavams. These Brahmotsavams will be held from October 12 to October 20, coinciding with the last week of Peratasi Masam, which is expected to bring a large number of devotees to Tirumala.

During the period, privileged darshan facilities for senior citizens, physically challenged persons, parents with infants, NRIs and defence personnel will remain suspended. TTD made it clear that recommendation letters for VIP Break Darshan would not be accepted from October 10 to October 19.

These restrictions will, however, not apply to protocol VIPs. The devasthanam has decided to release ₹300 Special Entry Darshan tickets for October 12, October 13, October 14, October 18, October 19, and October 20 on Wednesday at 10 am. Devotees can book these tickets only through the TTD’s official website, ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in
