Narayana, Sravan, Launch 2nd Tranche of Land Pooling for Amaravati at Vaddamanu

Vijayawada: The second phase of land pooling for developing the AP capital Amaravati has been formally launched at Vaddamanu village in Tulluru mandal on Wednesday to accelerate development of the capital region. Those participating in the launch included Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayana and area MLA T. Sravan Kumar.
On the occasion, Narayana announced significant incentives for farmers who come forward to contribute their land, including loan waivers of up to Rs 1.5 lakh. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has insisted on these incentives, even though they will impose a burden of Rs 500 crore on the state exchequer.
In addition, the annuity rates for land-contributing farmers have been enhanced keeping in view the current market conditions. During the second phase of capital development, the NDA alliance government plans to pool 16,666.57 acres of land across seven revenue villages in Amaravati and Tullur mandals.
The land will be utilised for major infrastructure projects, such as the Amaravati Inner Ring Road, an International Sports City, and railway lines. The state cabinet has approved the proposal. Earlier, farmers accorded him a warm welcome to Narayana and Sravan Kumar.
Several farmers submitted the Form-1, agreeing to pool their lands. Officials said 1,768.01 acres will be acquired through land pooling in Vaddamanu alone. Minister Narayana asserted that the capital development works are progressing at a rapid pace, with projects worth Rs 55,000 crore underway, including housing, road networks, and core infrastructure.
He assured that the entire construction works will be completed within three years. Later in the day, the minister similarly launched land pooling at Endrayi village in Amaravati mandal along with MLA Bhashyam Praveen.

Thanking farmers for their response, Narayana announced that an International Sports City will be developed at Endrayi. The master plan for the same will be prepared within three months of the land pooling and construction will begin within a year. The minister assured that all promises made to farmers will be fulfilled.
