Nara Lokesh Attends Dalmia Cement Expansion Bhumi Puja in Kadapa
Says second unit will boost Rayalaseema’s industrial growth and generate 700 more jobs
Kadapa: Andhra Pradesh Information Technology and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh on Wednesday participated in the bhumi puja for the second unit expansion of Dalmia Cement in Kadapa district.
Addressing the gathering, Lokesh said the expansion would accelerate industrial growth in the Rayalaseema region and create more employment opportunities. He noted that the plant currently provides jobs to around 950 people, both directly and indirectly. With the addition of the second unit, another 700 job opportunities are expected to be generated.
After the programme, the minister left for Proddatur, where he is scheduled to attend a TDP cadre meeting. During the interaction, Lokesh is expected to outline a roadmap for strengthening the party at the grassroots level and discuss development works in the constituency.
