Namo is Naidu and Modi, Says Lokesh

Lokesh said there were three key reasons - Chandrababu Naidu, fast processing and ecosystem - for industries to choose AP

New Delhi: Namo does not only mean Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but a combination of Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, said Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Nara Lokesh.

Speaking to media persons in Delhi on Wednesday, Lokesh said there were three key reasons - Chandrababu Naidu, fast process and ecosystem - for industries to choose AP. He explained that Andhra Pradesh was attracting industries because of maintaining good relations. He said that creating better facilities for investments was crucial and the companies like TCS and Cognizant have chosen AP.

The IT, manufacturing, services and tourism sectors were also crucial. Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to set goals in this regard and move forward. “A double engine government is in many states and we are moving forward as per Vikasith Bharat vision. We are aiming for a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047. We are moving to achieve progress by setting clear goals,” he explained.

The CII conference is being held in Visakhapatnam on the November 14 and 15 and this is an opportunity for the government, policymakers and investors. “There are good opportunities in fields such as quantum, AI, material science and others. We expect 410 MoUs to be signed at the CII conference. We expect investments of $120 billion and these investments will create employment opportunities for 7.5 lakh people,” he explained.
