Naidu Urges Bankers Support for Vision-2047
The Chief Minister also sought bankers’ support in implementing central schemes, particularly the Surya Ghar initiative, which aims to provide solar power to 20 lakh families this year.

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has urged bankers to support his Swarnandhra Vision-2047. He said the government is actively working toward this goal by implementing 10 core principles and aims to achieve a 15 per cent growth rate with strong support from banks. Addressing the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) meeting at the Secretariat, Naidu stressed the importance of banks in driving growth in agriculture and allied sectors. He urged them to support farmers, especially those cultivating commercial crops, as this would contribute to economic progress. He also proposed a streamlined process where eligible farmers receive loans within 15 minutes of visiting a bank.
Highlighting the government's commitment to dairy farming, Naidu said that family incomes could improve if every family owned two or three cattle. He acknowledged that dairy farmers often face losses due to inadequate market access or the absence of a minimum support price (MSP) and announced efforts to address this issue using blockchain technology.
The Chief Minister underscored that banks should not only sanction loans but also promote innovative farming methods. He cited the example of Punjab, where excessive pesticide use has led to rising cancer cases, and urged banks to support organic and horticultural farming as a solution.
Naidu also stressed the need for proactive measures to prevent farmer suicides, shifting the focus from providing ex gratia payments to implementing long-term solutions. He reiterated the government’s "one family, one entrepreneur" objective and called on banks to simplify loan approvals for small traders and MSMEs.
Referring to the alleged large-scale irregularities under the previous administration, Naidu stated that inquiries are underway in all departments. He urged banks to cooperate with investigative agencies by providing necessary financial details.
The Chief Minister also sought bankers’ support in implementing central schemes, particularly the Surya Ghar initiative, which aims to provide solar power to 20 lakh families this year. He encouraged banks to actively finance green energy projects as the state plans large-scale investments in renewable energy.
