Parents Play Major Role in Students' Success: CM Naidu
Naidu admitted that during Lokesh’s school days, he was in government and hence could often not attend parent meetings.

Kurnool: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu described schools as sacred temples that shape the future of children and impart knowledge to them.
Participating in the Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting held at the Zilla Parishad High School in Kothacheruvu, Sri Sathya Sai district, on Thursday, the chief minister stressed the importance of parental involvement in education reforms.
Reflecting on his past vision, Naidu said, “It was in Kothacheruvu that I found the courage to believe I could achieve any goal I set. I first proposed forming parent committees in 1998. Those who have succeeded in life must contribute their mite to their schools that shaped them.”
He praised education minister Nara Lokesh for effectively managing the education system and said, “We may forget many people in life, but never ever our teachers. For us, after parents, the guru holds the highest place.”
Naidu admitted that during Lokesh’s school days, he was in government and hence could often not attend parent meetings. “Today, we are so caught up in work that we forget our children. Parents must share a responsibility along with teachers in shaping their children's future,” he said.
The chief minister underlined his commitment to women empowerment and education. “I’ve always kept women at the center of every initiative. Gone are the days when people questioned the need for educating girls. Today, girls are no less than boys. That’s why we implemented the ‘Thalli ki Vandanam’ scheme, providing support to every child, regardless of gender,” he stated.
He assured parents that the government would take full responsibility for the education of their children. “There’s a myth that government schools do not offer quality education. We are transforming government schools to enable them to compete with the best private institutions.”
Naidu highlighted new initiatives, including a mobile app that notifies parents if and when their children skip school. He praised the government’s effort in setting a Guinness World Record through the Mega PTM. “In the past five years, not a single teacher was recruited. Let Jagan Reddy explain how he brought reforms without teachers,” Naidu said, criticising the previous government.
