Naidu Says Sanjeevani Health Pilot Will Cover Entire AP in 2026
Chandrababu Naidu said rooftop solar projects will be promoted in Kuppam to reduce electricity costs. Krishna waters are being brought to the town through the Handri Neeva project.

Tirupati: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday announced that the Sanjeevani health project, launched on a pilot basis in Kuppam to make quality healthcare accessible at people’s doorsteps, will be implemented across Andhra Pradesh in 2026.
The CM revealed the plan while participating in the NTR Bharosa pension distribution programme in Gudipalle mandal of Kuppam constituency. He visited the beneficiaries’ houses personally and handed over the pensions. He interacted with families, enquired about their welfare, received petitions from villagers, and spent time with students of the Zilla Parishad School at Beggilapalle.
Addressing a public meeting in Shantipuram mandal on the occasion, Chandrababu Naidu emphasised that Kuppam has emerged as a testing ground for the state government’s development initiatives. The Sanjeevani project, piloted successfully in Kuppam, will be expanded across Andhra Pradesh in 2026. The project, involving a digital health records system, will enable people to book doctors’ appointments through their phones, reduce the need for travel, and avail timely and quality healthcare, with emphasis on preventive care.
The Chief Minister said the coalition government has placed welfare at the centre of its agenda. He maintained that AP is spending more on pensions than any other state in India. He asked people to compare AP government’s spending of ₹2,730 crore every month on pensions with what other states are spending.
He reiterated the NDA government’s focus on women’s participation in public life, including support for women entrepreneurs through self-help groups.
Chandrababu Naidu said rooftop solar projects will be promoted in Kuppam to reduce electricity costs. Krishna waters are being brought to the town through the Handri Neeva project. Plans are in place to improve tanks and link canals to ensure better utilisation of rainwater.
The CM disclosed that an industrial park is being developed locally, so that youth need not migrate to other places looking for jobs. Investments of ₹7,088 crore have brought 16 industries to the Kuppam constituency, creating over 34,000 direct jobs and benefiting around 70,000 people indirectly, he pointed out.
“A multi-skill development centre has been launched with the Aditya Birla Group. The state’s first co-working space had been set up in Kuppam. Tourism projects, including development of Kangundi and a rock-climbing park, are also under way,” Chandrababu Naidu emphasised.
He reiterated that the previous YSRC government had pushed AP’s development backward through misuse of public funds and enacting laws that led to land disputes. He said these laws have been repealed and errors are being corrected using modern technology, leading to issuance of tamper-proof pattadar passbooks.
