Naidu Promises Permanent Land Pattas With Resurvey Completed in March 2027
Naidu accused the earlier YSRC government of attempting to take over public lands by placing them under Section 22A.
Kurnool:Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday disclosed that the ongoing land resurvey across the state will be completed by March 2027.
Addressing a public meeting at Aspari in Kurnool district, the CM said the resurvey will safeguard public assets and ensure full protection of people’s property rights. “This is a welfare government that works for the people,” he maintained.
Naidu accused the earlier YSRC government of attempting to take over public lands by placing them under Section 22A. “To prevent such irregularities, we are securing land records using blockchain technology under the resurvey process,” he said, pointing out that resolving disputes created during the previous regime is taking time.
The Chief Minister said since assuming office, the NDA alliance government has been implementing several welfare schemes for women, the poor, and the elderly, aiming to improve their quality of life. “We are committed to uplifting the living standards of the poor and will continue to work in their interest,” he declared.
Highlighting key welfare initiatives, Naidu said the government is implementing the Stree Shakti scheme to empower women. “Through Deepam 2.0, we are addressing cooking-related hardships by providing subsidies on LPG cylinders directly into beneficiaries’ accounts,” he said.
Referring to the Anna Canteen initiative, Naidu said affordable food is being provided to the poor, but charged that previous rulers could not tolerate such schemes.
He spoke about the environmental and agricultural challenges, noting that due to El Nino conditions, rainfall has been deficient. Even the Krishna River has not received adequate inflows. “Through the Jaladhara programme, we are focusing on water conservation and increasing groundwater levels,” he said.
The CM urged farmers to adapt to the changing conditions. “Farmers should prioritise crops that require less water, considering the current situation,” he advised. Criticising the previous government, Naidu alleged that no progress had been made in irrigation projects during the YSRC regime. “It did not complete even a single project, nor did it provide water to a single acre,” he said.
Naidu assured that the ₹1,768 crore Vedavathi project would be completed to provide irrigation to the western parts of Kurnool district. “We have prepared an irrigation calendar to complete 36 projects across the state within the next three years,” he underlined. He said a series of steps are underway to establish the Kadapa steel plant and begin production by 2028.
Launching a sharp attack on the previous administration, the Chief Minister said those who removed drip irrigation subsidies are now speaking about the welfare of Rayalaseema. “People should not allow such opportunistic leaders anywhere near them,” he observed.
