Naidu Pledges to Develop All Regions, Including Vizag as Financial Capital

Naidu Urges Grand Welcome for Modi's Amaravati Relaunch, Outlines Development Plans.

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has called on NDA leaders to ensure the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on May 2, when he will relaunch construction work on the greenfield capital city, Amaravati. In a teleconference with NDA coalition partners, Naidu emphasized the importance of a grand welcome for the Prime Minister, stating that Amaravati represents the "self-respect of the Telugu people" and is the "soul of the state."

"We are building Amaravati with the notion that a good city will contribute sufficient income," Naidu asserted, drawing parallels to the economic contributions of Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai to their respective states. He stressed that a capital city is essential for the state's pride and progress, similar to a decent home for a family.
Naidu assured that the May 2 meeting would cause no public inconvenience and cautioned against those "misleading people." He reiterated his commitment to making farmers partners in the capital's development. Highlighting the NDA government's "decentralisation" mantra, he pointed to the establishment of central government educational institutions in North Andhra and Rayalaseema since 2014.
Beyond Amaravati, Naidu outlined a comprehensive development plan for all regions of Andhra Pradesh. This includes establishing industrial parks in 42 Assembly constituencies, reviving the Rayalaseema steel plant, designating Vizag as the state's financial capital, and developing Tirupati as a spiritual town. He stressed that all regions will be equally developed.
