Naidu Lauds Somireddy for P4 Implementation in Sarvepalli

He said the initiative had enabled industries operating in the region to contribute to the welfare and development of communities in the constituency.

Nellore: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has commended Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy for implementing the government's P4 initiative by mobilising Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for development and welfare activities in the constituency.

During a meeting at Undavalli, the Chief Minister appreciated the MLA for implementing CSR-supported initiatives, including the distribution of 1,841 bicycles to students, installation of solar streetlights and drinking water plants, adoption of tribal colonies, establishment of skill development centres and measures to improve the welfare of tribal communities, including facilitating Aadhaar enrolment.

Chandramohan Reddy presented the Chief Minister with a booklet detailing development and welfare works carried out in the constituency and outlined proposals for the current financial year. These include the distribution of another 2,000 bicycles, installation of additional drinking water plants and solar streetlights, development of government high schools into model schools, construction of a hospital and adoption of Muthukuru and Krishnapatnam panchayats under the P4 programme.

The MLA said that after the coalition government assumed office, CSR contributions from industries in the constituency had been channelled towards local development. According to him, projects worth more than Rs. 52 crore were implemented during the first year, while works valued at another Rs. 34 crore are in the pipeline.
