Naidu Keen on Lowering Economic Inequalities in Society
Those selected for Bangaru Kutumbams, like Pyari Reshma of Agiripalli, hailed the governmental initiative. Pyari said her husband worked as a driver, but they lived in a rented house. She sought assistance for the education of her three children since she does not have any properties.

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday, reiterated his call to the top 10 per cent wealthy in society to come forward and help uplift the 20 per cent downtrodden sections.
Naidu felt that “if the children selected to 'Bangaru Kutumbams' (golden families) are given necessary assistance, they will become 'Margadarsis' (pioneers) in future.” Economic imbalances in society should be reduced considerably, he stressed.
The CM participated in the birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Jyothirao Phule at Agiripalli in Nuzvid Assembly segment of Eluru district and later the Bandaru Kutumbam-Margadarsi programme. He felicitated those who came forward for the rescue of the poor.
Naidu announced that the Margadarsis at Agiripalli would stand by the 206 Bangaru Kutumbams. "In the first phase, we are making efforts for the uplift of 20 lakh families in the state. If you support the poor for their uplift, they will remember their Margadarsis like how they remember Phule.”
“Margadarsis are not craving for votes but are coming forward to get some fame in society,” the CM said.
"Besides organising the birth anniversaries of legendary leaders like BR Ambedkar, Jyothirao Phule and Jagjeevan Ram, we are taking up the P4 programme."
