Naidu, Karnataka CM to Inaugurate New Tungabhadra Dam Gates in June-end

The minister credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for ensuring the installation of 33 new gates at a cost of Rs 51 crore in a record six months.

Vijayawada: Minister for water resources Nimmala Ramanaidu on Tuesday said the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka would jointly inaugurate the newly installed gates of the Tungabhadra Dam towards the end of June.

Tungabhadra Board chairman S.N. Pande and secretary O.R.K. Reddy called on the minister at the Secretariat.

The minister credited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for ensuring the installation of 33 new gates at a cost of Rs 51 crore in a record six months. He said the project would help secure irrigation water supply to around 7.20 lakh acres in Andhra Pradesh.
