Let Us Join Hands to Preserve Handloom Culture: Naidu

Naidu will launch the Netanna Sevalo scheme in the Chirala Assembly constituency today.

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu extended his greetings on the occasion of the 12th National Handloom Day on Friday and reiterated the state government's commitment to the welfare of handloom weavers. "Let us all come together to protect our handloom heritage," Naidu said.

Marking the occasion, the Chief Minister will launch the Netanna Sevalo scheme in the Chirala Assembly constituency. Under the scheme, the government will provide financial assistance of Rs 25,000 to every eligible handloom family.

As part of the initiative, the state government will disburse Rs 179 crore to 71,536 handloom families across Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu said the government remains committed to strengthening the handloom sector and improving the livelihoods of weavers through welfare initiatives.

He urged people to support and preserve the state's rich handloom heritage.
