Prez, PM, Naidu Express Sorrow Over ASR Bus Mishap

“I spoke to the authorities about the accident and got to know the details of the assistance being provided to the victims,” said Chandrababu Naidu in a post on X.

President Droupadi Murmu has conveyed her deep sorrow over the bus mishap that led to loss of several lives in the Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh.

Prime minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also expressed their sorrow over the mishap involving a bus-load of pilgrims.

In separate messages, the President and the PM extended their condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. The PM announced financial assistance from his national relief fund. The next of kin of each deceased would receive an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh, while the injured would be provided Rs 50,000.

Naidu expressed deep shock over the bus mishap and said, “I spoke to the authorities about the accident and got to know the details of the assistance being provided to the victims.”

He has directed the authorities to ensure that the injured receive better medical assistance. He also promised the state government support to the families of the deceased.

Ministers Lokesh and Anitha expressed deep shock over the tragedy. Lokesh said the incident was extremely painful and directed officials to provide immediate medical treatment to the injured. Anitha sought complete details about the mishap from the police and instructed authorities to ensure that the injured receive the best possible medical care.
