Naidu Calls for Preserving Tirumala Heritage, Lauds TTD Administration
After darshan of Lord Venkateswara, Naidu said preserving Tirumala’s traditions and heritage in their entirety was a responsibility that needed to be carried forward to the coming generations.

Tirupati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday stressed the need to protect Tirumala’s traditions, heritage and distinctive discipline and pass them on to future generations.
He presented silk robes to Lord Venkateswara on behalf of the state government as part of the annual Salakatla Brahmotsavams and later participated in the Pedda Sesha Vahana Seva, the first vahana seva of the nine-day festival.
Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari, son and minister Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmini participated in the silk robes presentation ceremony. Priests performed the customary rituals at the Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple, following which Naidu carried the robes in a procession to the main temple.
The CM handed over the robes to the chief priest inside the sanctum sanctorum and offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara. At the Ranganayakula Mandapam, he received Veda Aseervachanam and was presented with Theertha Prasadam, a portrait of Sri Venkateswara and a memento by the TTD. He also released the TTD’s 2027 calendars, diaries and table calendars.
After darshan of Lord Venkateswara, Naidu said preserving Tirumala’s traditions and heritage in their entirety was a responsibility that needed to be carried forward to the coming generations.
He said the disciplined environment at Tirumala was distinctive and that the TTD had been managing the temple and its affairs effectively. The manner in which the hill shrine was being administered could serve as an example for other temples in the country, he said.
The Chief Minister directed the TTD trust board and employees to ensure that devotees were provided a smooth and hassle-free darshan. He said he prayed for the prosperity of the state and for India to become a developed nation.
Endowments minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, revenue minister Anagani Satya Prasad, TTD chairman B.R. Naidu, executive officer Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO Venkaiah Chowdary, TTD board members and other officials were present.
Naidu stayed overnight at the Tirumala guest house. On Wednesday, he would inaugurate the pilgrim experience centre at the 17th compartment of Vaikuntam Queue Complex-I, Reliance-donated e-buses at Gogarbham Dam Circle and the modernised SV Museum. He would also review TTD activities before leaving for Amaravati.
