Vijayawada: Former MLA Kasu Mahesh Reddy has lashed out at the state’s alliance government and its pliant media outlets for labelling the protesting farmers as anti-social elements” or comparing them to criminals.
Mahesh flayed chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s administration, saying that it failed to provide minimum support prices and was driving farmers to desperation and protests.
“Is it Naidu’s policy that anyone who takes to the streets against injustice will be branded as criminals,” Mahesh asked.
The YSRC leader urged the government to focus its attention on implementing the election promises.
