Naidu Advises Youth to Grab Opportunities, Set Up Companies Instead of Looking for Jobs
Naidu promised to develop Amaravati on the lines of how he could avail the economic liberalisation initiated by late prime minister PV Narasimha Rao and how he developed IT sector and built High-Tech City in just 14 months

Vijayawada: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has advised the youth to grab the opportunities being provided to them to set up companies and generate employment for others instead of being content with securing some jobs. Naidu participated in the ‘V-Launchpad 2025-Startup Expo’ at VIT-AP campus here on Monday.
Addressing the students, the chief minister said, “The future of the nation is in the hands of the youth,” and advised them to avail every opportunity being provided to them by their government to set up companies.
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Amaravati to restart developmental works on May 2, Naidu said AP would be developed as an Innovation Valley while Amaravati would soon become the address for Quantum Valley.
Recalling the generosity of 29,000 farmers who offered nearly 34,000 acres of land for building the capital city Amaravati for AP, he appreciated their trust and willingness to be partners in the development of the capital city.
The CM promised to develop Amaravati on the lines of how he could avail the economic liberalisation initiated by late prime minister PV Narasimha Rao and how he developed IT sector and built High-Tech City in just 14 months. He expressed his intent to develop the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub and set the stone for developing a Quantum Valley in Amravati similar to Silicon Valley.
He said more number of reputed educational institutions would come up in Amaravati on the lines of VIT and SRM.
As for the P4 initiative, Naidu underscored the need to uplift 20 per cent of the economically disadvantaged sections of the society by the 10 per cent wealthy people to fulfil the goal of elimination of poverty in the state by 2029.
The CM said the state government has launched the WhatsApp governance to provide nearly 1,000 services online for the benefit of those who avail varied services without having the need to visit the government offices for minor works.
Naidu asserted that in order to realise the vision of AP to become Swarnandhara by 2047, he wanted the economic growth rate to be 15 per cent and raise the per capita income.
Underlining the importance of education and application of knowledge innovatively, he said that when Indians lead globally in the knowledge economy, Telugus have become trendsetters as they get 20 per cent of the seats in IITs and were excelling in Silicon Valley, SpaceX, Google, Microsoft, NASA and Wall Street.
Naidu responded to the queries raised by the students on development of Amaravati, setting up of new educational institutions and use of IT and AI. He said the government was committed to making AP play a lead role in several fields to realise the target of elimination of poverty, generation of employment and creation of opportunities for self-employment and so on.
The CM recalled his association with VIT chairman G Vishwanathan and the way he began his journey from a humble beginning and realised extraordinary success. The chairman spent 20 years in politics, working along with top leaders like Annadurai, Karunanidhi, MGR and Jayalalitha, he said.
“I met him in 2014 even before the announcement of the assembly election results and sought approval for setting up a VIT in Amaravati and an allotment of 200 acres. They could allot 100 acres with a promise to give more,” he said.
He wished that VIT would have 50,000 students in the next seven years, and appreciated the VIT’s placement record of 95 per cent.
