MY Bharat Organises Swachhata Pakhwada Programme in Anantapur
MY Bharat, in collaboration with JNTUA NSS and other organisations, conducted a Swachhata Pakhwada programme at SRIT College in Anantapur to promote cleanliness, hygiene and environmental responsibility among youth.
Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Anantapur, under the ministry of youth affairs and sports, in coordination with the JNTUA NSS cell, NSS unit of SRIT College and Indian Red Cross Society, Ananthapur, organised a Swachhata Pakhwada programme at the SRIT College auditorium on Monday.
As part of the programme, quiz, painting, photography and slogan-writing competitions were conducted to create awareness among students and youth about cleanliness, personal hygiene, environmental responsibility and the importance of maintaining clean surroundings. College students, NSS volunteers and youth participated in the competitions.
NSS coordinator Dr G. Mamatha, SRIT College principal Dr G. Balakrishna and MY Bharat coordinator Bisathi Bharath were among those who attended the programme.
The organisers stressed the need to make cleanliness part of everyday life and called upon citizens, particularly youth, to take responsibility for maintaining clean and healthy surroundings. They said cleanliness was important for building a healthy and progressive society and encouraged young people to take up community-level cleanliness initiatives.
