“This government serves everyone" : Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu

VIJAYAWADA: Leaders from the Muslim community in Andhra Pradesh have pledged their support for the Amaravati capital development project by offering portions of Waqf land for constructing religious facilities like a Hajj House and Eidgah.

In a meeting with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu held in Amaravati, Muslim leaders said they were committed to contributing to a “world-class capital for future generations.” The delegation included Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan Rao, Penamalur MLA Bode Prasad, Krishna district government Qazi Syed Habibullah Hussaini, and Shah Bukhari institution head Altaf Raza Baba.

Following requests from local MLAs, the leaders agreed to provide two acres of Qazi Inam Service land in Tadigadapa for building a large Eidgah, and five acres in Nidamanur for a Hajj House.

The community representatives also submitted a petition seeking protection of Waqf properties in areas such as Tadigadapa, Nidamanur, Nunna, Guntupalli, Ibrahimpatnam, and the lands of Zakir Hussain College. “We want Waqf properties to serve the Muslim community and need the government’s cooperation to protect them,” said Qazi Habibullah Hussaini.

The Chief Minister responded positively, saying, “This government serves everyone,” and assured support for Muslim welfare and infrastructure projects. He also promised action against encroachments on Waqf lands.
